Liquid Burner
by ferriarnus
With Liquid Burner installed, Create Blaze Burners accept fluids as both regular and superheated fuel, so a liquid can heat a burner.
What it does
Blaze burners in Create normally take only solid fuel. Liquid Burner lets them draw from fluids instead, using one fluid to heat the burner and another, marked as superheating, to superheat it. Fuel selection works through tags, the same way Create's own fuel does, so a fluid from another mod can be added to either list with a datapack. Where a superheating fluid defines a timer, the burner keeps working for that period after its fuel is gone.
The mod requires Create and Create Fabric. Liquid Burner runs on client and server and is published for Fabric and Forge across five release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.20.2. The code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker. Files for 1.20.2 are published for Fabric, and the latest Forge file targets 1.20.1.
Key features
Liquid heating fuel
Blaze burners accept a fluid in the regular fuel tag and heat up while it burns.
Superheating fluids
A separate special fuel tag lets a fluid superheat the burner for stronger output.
Tag-based fuel lists
Fluids are assigned through tags in the data folder, so new fuel needs no code changes.
Timed afterglow
For fluids with a superheat timer, the burner keeps running for a set period after its fuel is gone.

Use cases
Liquid-fired Create setups
Builders who run Create machinery can feed a blaze burner from a fluid pipeline instead of hand-filled solid fuel.
Modded fluid fuels
A datapack can register a fluid from another mod, letting it power blaze burners without a separate addon.
Who it’s for: Players who run Create on Fabric or Forge and want blaze burners to use fluids. Pack makers who add fuels through datapacks will also find the tag setup useful.
How it compares
Create: Liquid Chutes is a Fabric-only mod for 1.20.1, released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it is open source. Liquid Burner targets Fabric and Forge across 1.18.2 – 1.20.2 and is also open source, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Melter covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.18.2 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License, so it is a different kind of liquid tool rather than a burner fuel mod.

What the author says
Doesn't it feel odd that blaze burners can't use fluids as a fuel? Wel now you can! Liquid Burner gives Blaze Burners the ability to use liquids to heat and superheat the burner. This is also tag based like normal create fuel, so any mod fluids can be added via datapacks. For fluids with a superheat time, the burn…
