Lead Recipe Backport changes how leads are crafted on older versions, so two leads can be made from string and a slimeball in place of the older recipe.
What it does
Crafting a lead normally takes a slimeball, and that item is scarce early on. This mod swaps in an updated lead recipe that yields two leads from five string and one slimeball, making the item cheaper and more consistent. Slime-free crafting is the main change, so players no longer depend on slimes spawning for leads.
The mod is needed on the server, while players may add it on their side too, and neither side is forced to. Its dependencies are required for it to load, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 13 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.5. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
