With Lava Rising, players battle through a survival challenge in which lava slowly floods the world from the bottom up, and the last survivor wins.
What it does
Once a game starts, a 60-second starter period passes with player-versus-player combat disabled, giving everyone time to prepare. After that, a default 30-minute grace period lets players gather resources and equip gear before the fight. When the grace period ends, the lava starts at the bottom of the world and climbs toward the top, forcing players into the final battle.
Each player has one life. A player who dies is out of the game and can only spectate. The mod is server required with a client optional, so the server must run it while players may leave it out. Files target 1.19 – 1.19.3, and the Fabric, Forge and Quilt builds are all published as 2022.1202+mod for 1.19.3, dated 2023-01-09. Running the event on older versions needs legacy mode enabled, which sets the height limit back to its earlier value.
After installation, the mod presents a setup flow in chat, where the host configures options in-game. Once the setup is ready, the start button begins the game. The mod is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker.
