Stackable Potions

by LaGz

Stackable Potions lets potions stack to 16 per slot, with a cooldown on throwing splash and lingering potions.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11

What it does

Normal splash and lingering potions stack up to 16 in a slot instead of one at a time. Throwing a splash or lingering potion starts a 1 second cooldown, which limits how fast the stacked potions can be used as instant-effect throws. Each potion type keeps its own cooldown, so throwing an instant-effect splash potion does not hold up a lingering one.

The mod works with existing worlds: potions can be added or removed from a save without breaking stored items. Potion cooldowns are shown on screen so players can see when the next throw is ready. The stack size and cooldown length are set in the configuration file. A brief desync can appear when stacked potions move in a slot, and the stack itself is not changed by it.

Stackable Potions runs on the client and the server, and the server works with vanilla clients. It is published for Fabric only, on 1.21.11, and the code is open source under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Stacks of 16

Normal splash and lingering potions stack up to 16 per slot instead of one.

  2. Throw cooldown

Each thrown splash or lingering potion starts a 1 second cooldown before the next instant-effect throw.

  3. Separate cooldowns

Each potion type keeps its own cooldown, so one type does not block the others.

  4. Visible cooldowns

Remaining potion cooldowns are displayed on screen while a player holds them.

  5. Configurable values

Stack size and cooldown length can be changed in the configuration file.
