Labyrythm
by sighmone
Labyrythm adds a sound-reactive maze to the world as a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1, with a boss that tracks the player by noise.
What it does
The mod introduces Minotaur's Labyrinth, a large procedurally generated underground structure. Its winding corridors are covered in sculk and draw heavy inspiration from the Deep Dark Ancient Cities. Players who enter must move carefully, since every step taken, block placed or tool used can alert the presence inside the maze.
At the heart of the labyrinth waits the Minotaur, a new boss that is blind and hunts by sound, in a way similar to the Warden. Stealth and careful planning are the main tools for surviving the maze. Defeating the boss grants access to the chests inside, and the Minotaur also drops items, including the formidable Minotaur's Axe.
Labyrythm is a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 only. It runs on the client and the server, so both need to install it. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
