Keybind Sets

by NebulaJinxed

Keybind Sets lets players save groups of key bindings as named sets and load a set in place of the current controls.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21 – 26.1

What it does

Keybind Sets stores key bindings in named sets, so a player can switch between control layouts without rebinding each key by hand. A saved set can be loaded at any time, and the mod includes custom bindings registered by other installed mods, so those keys can be included in a set as well.

The mod is a client-side tool for Fabric and runs in single-player and multiplayer clients alone, so servers need nothing. Fabric API is required, and the mod is published for 1.21 – 26.1 with files for 13 release versions, under All rights reserved and not open source.

Key features

  1. Saved keybind sets

Current bindings can be saved under a name and loaded later, so one layout can replace another in a single step.

  2. Custom bindings from other mods

Keys registered by other installed mods are picked up, so their bindings can be saved and loaded along with vanilla ones.

  3. Quick switching

Changing from one set to another takes a single action, which suits players who alternate between controls for different games or activities.

Use cases

Switching between games

A player who uses one layout for a platformer and another for a shooter can keep both as sets and load the right one for each session.

Trying layouts

Players testing a new control scheme can save the current bindings first, so the previous layout can be restored if the change does not work.

Who it’s for: Players who change key bindings often, or who run several modded setups and want to keep each set of controls separate.
