Just Enough Glass (JEG)

Just Enough Glass adds glass shards, glass slabs and a new decorative glass block, plus crafting recipes that convert between them and glass.
What it does
Glass shards are a new item that breaks off when glass or glass panes are destroyed, and they can be crafted back into glass blocks or panes. Glass slabs and a new decorative block made of glass extend the set of building pieces. Smelting sand and quartz in a Blast Furnace is faster in this mod than in the vanilla game.
Recipes cover the conversions players are likely to need: four shards make one glass block, three shards make one glass pane, one glass block yields four shards, and three glass blocks yield six glass slabs. The mod is built for Forge and targets only 1.20.1, so the 1.2.0 file is the single release at this point. Client and server both need it, and it is released under the MIT License as open source code with a public source repository and issue tracker.
