JEI Bookmark Sync
by Saged707
JEI Bookmark Sync keeps a player's Just Enough Items bookmarks on a server, so they follow the player across computers and servers.
What it does
Bookmarks made in JEI are normally stored locally, so switching to another computer leaves them behind. This mod uploads each player's bookmarks to the server they play on, keyed by the player's UUID, and loads them back when the player joins from any computer. Bookmarks are stored per player, so one account's list does not mix with another's, and the mod works when a player moves between several servers.
Automatic syncing pushes changes to the server as bookmarks are added or removed. A manual command, jeisync push, uploads the local list on demand, and pressing F8 runs the same sync. The mod will not overwrite local bookmarks with an empty server list, so a fresh server cannot wipe an existing set. The client needs JEI 19.x, and Minecraft 1.21.1 is the base for these builds. Just Enough Items (JEI) is required, and the mod is installed on both the client and the server.
Files target NeoForge across 11 release versions in that range. The latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, published 2026-01-04. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Server bookmark storage
Each player's JEI bookmarks are saved on the server and linked to the player's UUID.
Automatic syncing
Adding or removing a bookmark sends the change to the server right away.
Manual sync
The jeisync push command uploads the local bookmark list, and F8 triggers the same sync.
Local list protection
Empty server data does not overwrite bookmarks held on the local client.
Per-player storage
Bookmarks are separated by player UUID, so accounts keep their own lists.
