Jabs Fixed MC
by green_jab
Jabs Fixed MC is a Fabric mod that reworks several survival mechanics of Minecraft Java Edition, mainly the enchanting system.
What it does
The mod targets gameplay elements that have changed over many updates and that the author found to cause problems or imbalance. Rather than adding major new mechanics or removing existing ones, it applies small tweaks meant to bring these parts together and to revive forgotten mechanics.
Several features interact and overlap, so disabling one can break another. The author notes that some enchanting changes are too entrenched to be toggled off, while others, such as the horse and elytra changes, can be switched off. Jabs Fixed MC is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric only.
The mod is built to work as a plug-and-play addition alongside a large set of other mods and keeps the feel of vanilla. Its required dependencies are Fabric API, and the author lists several rendering and quality-of-life mods that players often pair with it. Files exist for 1.20.4 – 26.3 and the latest build is 26.3-v1 for 26.3.
