It's Alive is a NeoForge mod that adds Sculk Tendrils and Sculk Teeth to the Deep Dark biome, so it feels less barren.
What it does
The mod centers on two blocks that grow out of the Deep Dark. Sculk Tendrils are plant-like growths found on sculk. Harvesting them can drop string, which gives players another source of wool that avoids disturbing the Warden. Sheared string can be compacted into Sculk Thatch, which serves as a new building block. Sculk Teeth are calcified pillars that jut out from the ceilings and floors of the Deep Dark. Like other sculk blocks, they only drop when harvested with Silk Touch, and they can be crafted into a new set of Enamel blocks. Brushing them turns them a brilliant white.
Sculk can be bonemealed to grow Tendrils, and Tendrils can grow Teeth. Tendrils and Teeth also have a chance to spawn during sculk blooms. The mod is a fairly simple addition that aims to bring flavor to the Deep Dark with new decorative and building blocks. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, and the code is released under the MIT License as open source. The mod supports the en-us, es-es and ja-jp languages, and the author welcomes pull requests for other translations.
