InGame Modrinth
by Zayb
InGame Modrinth brings a Modrinth browser into the game, so players can search, install and manage mods without leaving Minecraft.
What it does
Players open the browser from the main menu or the pause menu. From there they can search Modrinth content, view project details, icons, authors and counts of installs, and install projects directly inside Minecraft. Open project pages list the files already installed for that project, which makes it simple to check what a player has on disk.
The mod runs on the client alone, and is published for Fabric only. Seven release versions are covered, 1.21 – 1.21.6, with 1.21.6 as the latest Fabric file, released 2026-05-19. Installing new mods requires restarting Minecraft, and InGame Modrinth is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
Key features
Modrinth browser in-game
A browser for Modrinth content opens from the main menu or the pause menu, so no external website is needed.
Search and project details
Results show icons, authors and counts of installs, and each project page can be opened for its full details.
Direct installation
Projects can be installed straight from the browser into the running game, with a restart needed afterwards to load new mods.
Installed project detection
The browser recognizes projects that are already installed and lists their files on the project page.

Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Adding mods without a website
A player who wants a new mod can find and install it from inside the game instead of visiting a website and moving a file into the mods folder.
Checking what is installed
Project pages show which files are already present, which helps a player see whether a mod is in place before installing it again.
Who it’s for: Players who manage their own Fabric mod set and want to find and install Modrinth projects from the game menus. The mod is a client-side tool and does not need to be installed on a server.
How it compares
Mod Menu Pro is a Fabric client mod for 1.21.4 – 26.2, open source under the MIT License, and it covers a different job from the in-game Modrinth browser. MiddleClickFix is a Fabric client mod for 1.20 – 1.21.1, also open source under the MIT License, and it changes mouse clicks rather than providing a content browser.
