IC2Additions, an add-on for IC2 Classic, adds energy storage, drills, swords, armor and crystals for late-game technology on Forge.
What it does
The add-on extends the IC2 technology tree with new energy storage for late-game power loads, since the older MFSU cannot handle the input and output of advanced machines. It also adds energy crystals in higher tiers with greater capacity, plus reactor materials such as Neptunium, Thorium and Californium, and new ways to obtain energy from reactors.
Tools and gear form the other half of the content: powered drills from Advanced through Nano and Quantum to Vajra and Advanced Vajra, strong swords, and armor climbing up to the Molecular Armor. Several items from older IC2 add-ons, such as the Sanarium, return here. Installation requires Forge; the mod is published for Minecraft 1.12.2, with files for 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 listed, and the newest Forge file is 2.1.2 for 1.12.2, released 2026-09-24. The author notes that the mod is meant to be run without Advanced Solar Panels or Gravisuite, and that further updates are planned.
