HyskExpFly lets players fly in survival mode by spending experience points, with the consumption rate set by the server.
What it does
While a player flies, the mod deducts a configured amount of experience points each second. Flight is toggled with simple commands, and the server owner can change the consumption rate while the server is running. When experience runs out, flight stops. Supported loaders are Fabric and NeoForge, and the mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything.
The mod keeps flight status across reconnects and supports survival mode, with other game modes handled automatically. A permission system manages who may fly, and a ban system covers player names and UUIDs. Configuration is checked and repaired automatically on startup. Releases cover 1.21.1, 1.21.8, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2; the latest Fabric file is 2.1.0-26.2 for 26.2 and the latest NeoForge file is 1.5.7-1.21.1 for 1.21.1. The license is the BSD 2-Clause License, and the code is not open source. The author notes state that part of the code was written with help from an AI assistant.
