Holdlook

Holdlook is a Forge client mod for Minecraft 1.8.9 that switches the camera from first person to third person while a key is held.
What it does
Holding a key moves the camera behind the player, and releasing it returns the view to first person. The author wrote it years ago as a simple perspective tool after a Hypixel rule blocked perspective mods, which Lunar Client and BadLion did not. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it.
The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v2.0 only, and the author credits its source. Files exist for 1.8.9 only, with version 1.2 as the latest Forge file, published 2026-06-10.
