HexText

by Hoshi3Mutsuk1

HexText is a Fabric addon for the hex magic system that lets hex patterns use raw JSON text formatting.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2

What it does

The addon lets patterns handle Raw JSON text, the format Minecraft uses for rich text, which cannot be used without it. Several added patterns parse formatted strings, and renaming entities and items works through the same text format. Installing it needs MoreIotas, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. It runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it, for 1.19.2 only.

Key features

  1. Raw JSON text patterns

Patterns read and build Raw JSON text, so spells can produce rich, formatted strings.

  2. String parsing patterns

Several added patterns parse formatted strings from the game, which other hex spells cannot do on their own.

  3. Entity and item renaming

Hex patterns can rename entities and items using formatted text.

What the author says

The Raw JSON text is the format Minecraft uses to display rich text, but you can't use it without cheats, this addon adds several patterns that allow you to parse this format from a string (requires moreiotas) and use it to rename entities or items.
