FabricHealthDisplay
by bradbot1
FabricHealthDisplay shows the health of mobs above their heads, in one of three formats chosen in its config file.
What it does
Mob health appears above each creature's head. The server owner picks how it is shown: as hearts, as a percentage of full health, or as a fraction of current health over maximum health. A config file in the config directory, named fabrichealthdisplayer.json, holds the choice. Changing the value requires operator permission at the configured level.
Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric only, across three game versions: 1.17.1, 1.18 and 1.18.1, with v1.1.1 for 1.18.1 as the latest file. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
Key features
Hearts display
Mob health is drawn as the number of hearts remaining above each creature.
Percentage display
Showing health as a share of the maximum keeps the readout consistent whatever the size of the mob.
Fraction display
Current health and maximum health are shown as a fraction, such as 12/20.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
