Happier Ghasts

Happier Ghasts adds the Dried Ghast and its Ghastling form to the Nether, along with a harness that lets players fly the adult creature.
What it does
Dried Ghasts generate as part of Nether Fossil structures. A Dried Ghast that stays submerged underwater for 20 straight minutes turns into a Ghastling. Ghastlings follow nearby friendly mobs and the player, and their growth can be sped up by throwing Snowballs at them.
Once grown, a Happy Ghast follows a player who holds a Snowball Harness, provided it is not already wearing one. Equipping the harness lets the player fly the creature. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, with public source code and an issue tracker.
Happier Ghasts is published for Fabric and Quilt, with files for 1.21.5 only. It requires Fabric API and FrozenLib. Since the environment is client and server, both the server and every player need the mod installed.

Mobs and transport in the Nether
Players who want the Ghast to serve as a flying mount can raise one from a Ghastling and harness it for travel across the Nether.
Companion Ghastlings
Ghastlings follow other friendly mobs and the player, so they can act as companions while the player explores.
Who it’s for: The mod suits players who want Ghasts to behave as companions and mounts rather than hostile mobs. It is useful on Fabric or Quilt servers and singleplayer worlds in which the 1.21.5 release is used.
