Gravestone
by n8-M4x
Gravestone saves a dying player's items in a block placed at the death location, so they can be recovered later.
What it does
When a player dies, the items from the inventory are stored in a gravestone block that spawns where the death happened. The gravestone is protected from explosions and despawning, so the items stay in place until they are taken back out. If the death happens above the build limit or in the void, the gravestone is placed at the lowest possible block instead.
Right-clicking a gravestone opens its inventory, where stored items can be swapped with the player's own. The mod works with the vanilla player inventory size regardless of what items are carried, and it runs in singleplayer as well as on multiplayer servers. Installation needs Fabric API on Fabric, and the mod is published for 1.21.3 – 1.21.11 with 1.21.11-1.0.1-Fabric as the latest file. It is licensed as All rights reserved and is not open source.
