Glide the Globe
Glide the Globe, a Forge and NeoForge mob mod for 26.3, expands Minecraft 1.21.6 with cloud blocks, a gale mob, baby ghasts and locator tags.
What it does
Cloud blocks come in 16 colours and generate as cloud structures in the sky, where players shear them. Each cloud block needs a supporting block to be placed against when right-clicked. A new gale mob joins the sky content, and the author keeps the additions close to vanilla design, tying them to the Chase skies update that the mod was built around.
Baby ghasts spawn rarely in soul sand valleys with the same look as adult ghasts, and dried ghast blocks grow into mature ghasts in the overworld. Mature ghasts can be saddled and ridden, and hoglin tusks let a rider shoot fireballs. A decorative dried ghast block behaves like a normal dried ghast but does not grow, and a hatch decoration can be hydrated with water bottles or dried with a sponge. Locator tags, crafted from a name tag and a compass, give entities a locator bar and a colour assigned at a crafting table dye step.
The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Forge and NeoForge only, for 9 release versions, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. The author notes say a backport to versions before 1.21.6 is planned and that the mod is not yet on Fabric or Bedrock.
