Geographicraft
by Zeno410
With Geographicraft installed on a server, the world generator gains controls over climate zones, ocean sizes, biome frequencies and continent sizes.
What it does
Climate control lets a server owner shape how the world is laid out. Climate zones can be made smaller and more manageable, so varied biomes are easier to find close together, and transitions between hot and cold biomes can be prevented so that different biomes mix. Frequencies of common biomes and climate zones can be changed, so they appear more or less often than in vanilla.
Geographicraft can also restore true oceans while keeping a universal continent with large lakes, shape land masses ranging from enormous continents to islands that fit a single map, set climate bands to resemble an earthlike world, choose where the initial spawn area sits, and increase sub-biome variety within the vanilla biomes. The mod is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and it is published for Forge only, in builds for 1.12 – 1.12.2.

Climate bands can be set to mimic an earthlike world for survival or creative servers.
Custom spawn areas
The initial spawn area and its land area can be placed anywhere on the map.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to shape world generation beyond vanilla settings. Geographicraft runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it.
How it compares
Modern Beta Forge Voronoi Climates is open source under the MIT License and is published for 1.12.2 with the client and server environment, so every player needs it too. Climate Rivers is server-side only and open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, for 1.20.1 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Geographicraft is server-side only as well and is limited to Forge for 1.12 – 1.12.2.
