GemsPlusPlus, a Forge world generation mod by Trod, adds gem ores to the world and crafted gem equipment for players to find and use.
What it does
The mod is an update of RobZ51's Gems+ and keeps its focus on gems. Gem ores generate in the world, and a gem ore also appears in the Nether. Gems can be mined, processed and turned into tools, armor sets and other equipment, so a gem found underground becomes a material for gear rather than only a decoration.
Client and server: both the server and every player need the mod. The mod is published for Forge only, with files covering ten release versions. Its code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker.
The mod has no required dependencies, so it can be installed on a Forge instance without other mods. Since it was first published on 2020-12-20, the files have tracked each new game version up to 1.16.5, and the most recent update is the one from 2021-09-17.
