GearGuard

by dani_dani

With GearGuard, a Fabric client shows the armor a player wears and its remaining durability on the HUD.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.8

What it does

GearGuard draws a compact display of the armor currently equipped, along with each piece's durability, on the in-game HUD. The display sits beside the offhand slot so it stays out of the way of the main view. Fabric API is required. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it, and players who install it on a single-player or multiplayer client see the readout there. The code is released under the MIT License, but the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Armor durability readout

Shows the durability of each worn armor piece as the player takes damage or repairs gear.

  2. Offhand-adjacent placement

The minimalistic HUD is positioned next to the offhand slot rather than covering the hotbar.

  3. Current armor display

Lists the armor the player has equipped at the moment, so changes appear without opening the inventory.

What the author says

This mod adds a clean minimalistic HUD next to your offhand where you can see your armor currently equipped and its durability. This mod was originally made for my friend that likes PVP and said this would be useful for him but i decided to release it!
