GD CraftsEnhanced
by GabrielDja
GD CraftsEnhanced changes selected crafting recipes so some crafts become easier or harder, and adds stone slabs to the recipe set.
What it does
The mod replaces certain vanilla recipes with versions that are either easier or more difficult to craft, letting a server adjust how much work specific items take. It also allows certain items to be destroyed, and adds stone slab recipes under the gd craftsenhanced namespace. Its main purpose is to shape progression rather than to add new blocks or mobs.
Only the server has to run GD CraftsEnhanced; players can join without installing it, though they may add it to their own clients with no effect on joining. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack for servers that prefer that route. Game versions run 1.20 – 26.2 across 18 release versions, with 2.4.0 for 26.2 as the latest file. The code is licensed under the MIT License and is open source.
Snapshot builds are also published, so the mod can be tested against pre-release versions before they reach stable releases. Public links exist for the source code, the issue tracker and a wiki, which document the recipe changes.
Key features
Replaced recipes
Selected vanilla crafting recipes are swapped for versions that cost more or less material and effort.
Easier and harder crafts
Some crafts are made simpler and others more demanding, so progression can be tuned without new items.
Item destruction
Certain items can be destroyed, adding a new way to remove unwanted stacks from a world.
Stone slabs
Stone slab recipes are added under the gd craftsenhanced namespace, joining the other changed crafts.

Use cases

How it compares
Additional Banners is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.8 – 26.3, and runs on client and server together, so it adds banner content rather than changing recipes. Craft Spawn Eggs is server required with client optional, covers 1.20.4 – 26.3 and is not open source under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, changing how spawn eggs are obtained. Ender eye Plus is also server required with client optional, published for 1.21.4 – 1.21.11 under the Apache License 2.0, and is not open source.
