With Gain Friendship From Melodies, playing an instrument from Immersive Melodies raises the friendship of nearby Pokémon from Cobblemon.
What it does
Gain Friendship From Melodies lets a player use an instrument added by Immersive Melodies to raise a Pokémon's friendship. While the player is playing music, the Pokémon gains 2 friendship every 10 seconds. Pokémon that listen to a song may sing along and end with an encore, and Pokémon that have a soundproof ability, such as Exploud, do not respond to the music. The friendship gain only applies while the value is below a configurable threshold, with 100 as the default, and a recalled Pokémon has to be sent out again before it can join in.
Some effects also come from playing. A Pokémon can learn Grass Whistle from a flute, Belly Drum from a drum and Heal Bell from a triangle, and a Pokémon that is awakened by music can be set in the config to heal other status conditions. Architectury API, Cloth Config API, Cobblemon, Immersive Melodies and Kotlin for Forge are required dependencies, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
