Forecast is a Fabric library that exposes server-side events to datapacks through new function tags, and it targets 1.21.1 only.

What it does

Forecast adds more function tags for datapacks, so a pack can hook into game events without custom Java code. The events it reports cover entities being damaged and dying, players joining and leaving a server, players beginning and stopping sleep, and players right-clicking an item or an entity. Each one fires a tag that a datapack can list functions under.

The mod is meant for servers that run datapacks, and the author intended it for that case alone. Server owners install it, and players connect with no copy of their own. Forecast requires Fabric API, and the latest Fabric file is 21.1+1.0.0 for 1.21.1, published on 2026-07-07. The code is public as source, but the mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
