Force Lowercase Commands
by V
Force Lowercase Commands makes typed commands with capital letters run in lowercase, so a stray Caps Lock does not break a command in chat.
What it does
Since Minecraft 1.19.1, Bukkit and its forks such as Spigot, Paper and Purpur handle player commands case-sensitively, which means commands added by plugins can stop working when a capital letter is typed. This Fabric and Quilt mod works around that change on the client: when a message starts as a command, it swaps every uppercase letter in the command name for a lowercase one before sending it. Command arguments are left untouched, so values typed with capitals still arrive unchanged.
Because the change happens on the client, the mod is client-side only. A player installs it alone, and servers and single-player worlds need nothing extra. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Builds cover 1.19.1 – 1.21.8 across 20 release versions, with Fabric files and a Quilt file for 1.20.1. The newest Fabric file is 1.1.0 for 1.21.8, published on 2024-04-23.
Key features
Lowercase command names
Uppercase letters in the command name are converted to lowercase before the command is sent to the server.
Arguments kept intact
Only the command name changes, so arguments typed with capital letters reach the server exactly as written.
Client-side operation
Players need the mod alone, and the server can be any Minecraft server, including vanilla.
Quick typing
Commands typed quickly, including with Caps Lock on by accident, still run without retyping.

Players on Paper, Spigot or Purpur servers can use plugin commands that expect lowercase names.
Who it’s for: Players who join Bukkit-based servers and type commands by hand, and players who type fast or often use Caps Lock.
