The mod adds an enchantment, Sword Flight, that turns a sword from a melee tool into a set of flying blades. The enchantment is found in the enchanting table or in random loot, and it can be combined with the vanilla enchantments that a sword already accepts. Holding right-click charges the throw with a trident-style animation, and releasing it sends the sword out of the hand. While the blades are airborne, they strike mobs at range, mark a target for the rest of the swarm, and dive at it.

Flying swords are server-side objects, so the server calculates each hit and its damage. A single combined hit deals the sum of the damage of every participating sword, with enchantment modifiers included. Flight boosting costs durability and hunger, and the blade under the player's feet rotates with the flight direction and camera pitch. Holding Sword Flight also disables the entity melee and sweep attacks of the sword. The mod requires Fabric API, and the server and every player need it installed.
