Floral Warfare

by Nokunami

Players who enjoy plant-defense play can use Floral Warfare, a Forge mod inspired by Plants vs. Zombies that adds plant items, blocks, mobs and structures to Minecraft.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

Floral Warfare brings a plant-based defense theme into the game, with items and blocks for growing plants and mobs that attack them. Progression runs through work in progress, and plants can be found in generated structures. The mod adds to the vanilla world rather than replacing it, so existing worlds and biomes keep their usual generation.

Structures added by the mod include ancient cities, buried treasure, desert pyramids, jungle temples, ruined portals and simple dungeons. Installation requires Fzzy Config and SmartBrainLib, both of which must be installed alongside Floral Warfare. The mod runs on client and server, so servers and every player need it, and the code is released under the MIT License as open source. Files target 1.20.1 for Forge only, with the latest alpha build being 0.2.0-20.1-alpha-27, dated 2026-08-03.

Key features

  1. Plant items and blocks

Plant items and blocks that fit the plant-versus-zombie theme, placeable in the world.

  2. Themed mobs

Enemy mobs that approach and attack the player's plants, giving the defense gameplay its opponents.

  3. Found in structures

Plants and items can be located inside ancient cities, desert pyramids, jungle temples and other generated structures.

  4. Progression path

Progression through the content is still in work, so later plants and items are expected to arrive in future updates.
