Floating Cube

by Noodles-GG

Floating Cube lets players place cubes in mid-air, so sky builds no longer need pillars dug up from the ground.

FabricForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2

What it does

Blocks placed as floating cubes stay where they are put in the air, which removes the need to build supporting pillars from the ground. Placement logic for these cubes differs slightly from regular blocks, and that opens some unusual building methods. Using them requires phantom membrane, and players are expected to adjust the mod's behavior with other mods as needed. It is a lightweight addition and runs on both client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, both for 1.19.2 only.

Key features

  1. Placement in mid-air

Cubes can be set directly into empty air, so towers and sky structures need no ground support.

  2. Different placement logic

Floating cubes follow placement rules that differ a little from ordinary blocks, enabling special building techniques.

  3. Phantom membrane dependency

Floating cubes are made with phantom membrane, which must be obtained before they can be built.

This lightweight mod adds a cube that can be placed in the air to help players who want to build sky buildings. Now instead of struggling to build through-the-sky pillars from the ground, you can literally just place floating cubes in the air. The floating cubes require the use of phantom membrane, of course you can…
