Fabric Advanced Shift
Fabric Advanced Shift is a client-side Fabric utility that changes how sneaking behaves, with a toggle, a delay setting and a key to tune it.
What it does
Holding Shift can be switched into a sneaking mode that stays on until the key is pressed again, and the double-press shift behavior can be disabled. The default toggle key is K, and the controls menu lets players change it. Delay values are adjusted with keys O and L in steps of 50, and the number is stored in a config file at appdata/.minecraft/fabricadvancedshift.txt. Only the client needs it; servers run without it. The mod targets 1.16.5 – 1.17.1 and is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Sneaking toggle
Shift can be latched on so the player stays sneaking without holding the key, which helps with bridge building.
Adjustable delay
Keys O and L raise or lower the shift delay by 50 at a time, and the value is saved in the config file.
Double-shift control
The double-press shift action can be disabled, so accidental double taps do not start sneaking.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
