f3f lets players and server owners change render distance with keyboard shortcuts, without opening the video settings screen.

What it does

Pressing F3 and then F raises the render distance by one chunk, and Shift with F3 and F lowers it by one chunk. The shortcuts reuse the debug key combination that vanilla Minecraft removed in 1.19, so the familiar key layout still does the same job. The mod is built for Fabric and requires Fabric API, which must be installed alongside it.

On a server, the render distance a player can set can be limited by the server, and LuckPerms can be used to manage which players have permission to change it. Without LuckPerms, every player is free to change render distance on their own client. The interface and messages support English and Russian.

f3f is published for Fabric only, with files for 15 release versions in the range 1.20.1 – 1.21.8. Installation covers the server and each player's game. A Paper, Spigot and Bukkit build is also available. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.
