Extended Raidar
by NotRyken
Extended Raidar extends the ringing bell so that raid mobs stay highlighted longer and across a wider area, adding to the vanilla raider-highlight feature.
What it does
When a bell rings during a raid, vanilla Minecraft highlights raid mobs inside a 48-block spherical radius. Extended Raidar increases that detection radius to 128 metres and lengthens the highlight to 20 seconds, so raiders stay visible from farther away and for longer. Both the distance and the duration can be changed through the config screen provided by Cloth Config API.
The mod is client-side only, so only the player's client needs it and a server running a raid can stay vanilla. It requires Cloth Config API for its settings screen and Mod Menu to open that screen from the mod list. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge across 12 release versions, 1.21 – 1.21.11. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and its latest beta files for 1.21.11 were published on 2025-10-01.
Key features
Longer raider highlight
Raid mobs stay highlighted for 20 seconds after a bell rings, instead of the vanilla duration.
Wider detection radius
The spherical area that the bell highlights is increased to 128 metres around the player.
Configurable distance and duration
Both the radius and the highlight time can be adjusted in the settings screen built with Cloth Config API.
Vanilla-style balance
The change keeps the existing bell mechanic, so it extends a feature players already know rather than replacing it.

Use cases
Who it’s for: The mod suits players who play Minecraft with raids and want the raider highlight to cover more ground and last longer. Because it is client-side only, it fits single-player worlds and multiplayer players joining servers that do not install it.
How it compares
Highlight It is a Fabric-only client mod under the MIT License, not open source, with files for 1.21.10 – 1.21.11. Trial Glow is open source under the MIT License and works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21 – 26.3, but it needs the server side. Configurable Raids is open source and server-side only for Fabric, covering 1.20.1 – 1.21.4.
