by aaronhowser1

Excessive Utilities is a NeoForge remake of the Extra Utilities mod for Minecraft 1.21.1, rebuilt with a wide set of storage, power, transport and quarry blocks.

What it does

The mod was rebuilt from the ground up by reading the wiki articles for the older Extra Utilities and playing its earlier versions, so the author could see what a remake had to cover. It keeps the features of both Extra Utilities and the Extra Utilities mods by RWTema, including the favorites, and adds further content such as Unstable Ingots tools and dimensions from Depths Last Millennium. The author notes that some inconsistencies and minor missing features remain as a result of the rebuild.

Power and item logistic blocks are the main area of the mod: 16 FE generators, a Rainbow Generator, six types of Angel Ring, and a Grid Power system that can be adjusted. Quarries are included in two forms, each of which can be upgraded. Filing Cabinets, Trash Cans and Drums store and remove items, while Transfer and Retrieval Nodes move items, fluids and energy along the same pipes.

Excessive Utilities runs on client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. It is published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, with the latest file 1.10.0-build.64 dated 2026-10-06. It depends on Aaron, Curios API and Kotlin for Forge, and Athena and Oracle Index add optional features. The source is open under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

What the author says
