With Enhanced Quarries, players can run BuildCraft-style machines, including quarries, fillers, builders, pumps and generators, on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

The mod adds machines modeled on BuildCraft: quarries that dig out an area, fillers that place blocks, builders, pumps and generators. Marker range specification is shown on screen, and modules enclosed in red are used by a quarry. A bedrock break module is available for the filler. A redstone signal can pause the machines, and the pump is an experimental implementation.

The Optimum-based quarry suits low-spec computers, and it is the recommended choice for large-scale open pit mining, where a normal quarry causes delay. The engine uses a Tech Reborn Mechanix generator. Recipes can be checked in JEI, and the recipe for the filler module is described on the GitHub wiki.

Installation needs Fabric API and MCPitanLib. The mod works independently otherwise, and Tech Reborn is recommended as a companion. It runs as client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 39 release versions, 1.16 – 26.3, under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the code is open source.

Large open pit mining

Players clearing big areas can use the Optimum quarry, which the author recommends over a normal quarry for that job.

Yes. Fabric API and MCPitanLib are both required dependencies, so both must be installed next to Enhanced Quarries.

What the author says

Forge has Quarry Plus, but the Fabric version is only 1.17. However, I wanted to use a machine like BC with Fabric 1.16, so the reproducibility is low, but I made it.
