Endermite Expansion changes how endermites behave, so they stay on the map instead of vanishing after a few minutes.

What it does

Endermites normally disappear about two minutes after they spawn. With this mod they keep their lifetime and despawn only like other hostile mobs, unless one is given a name tag. The mod is a datapack and needs no client install, so only the server side needs it. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus a data pack, with game versions 1.17 – 1.21.11.

  1. Persistent endermites

    Endermites no longer despawn on their own after two minutes and follow the regular hostile mob rules.

  2. Name tag protection

    An endermite given a name tag stays in the world instead of being removed by the despawn rules.

  3. Configurable datapack

    Spawn chances and functions can be adjusted by commenting out lines in the datapack, with no Java editing needed.
