EMI Tabs puts a row of category tabs above the item list in EMI, the recipe and item browser.

What it does

The tabs sit in the EMI item panel and switch between creative-mode categories without leaving the screen, so a player can jump to building blocks, food or tools from the same window used to look up recipes. The add-on is an EMI extension for Minecraft 1.21.1 and needs EMI installed, which is the only required dependency.

Tabs stay in place when the panel is moved, and the author notes that they also work with the side panel removed and with the panel in other positions. Settings other than EMI's defaults are not supported, so a player who has changed EMI's layout options may see the tabs misaligned.

Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge. The Fabric build targets Fabric Loader with Fabric API, and the NeoForge build targets the NeoForge line that matches 1.21.1. The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project is open source.
