Elemental : Reactions
by snowy5314
Elemental : Reactions introduces an elemental combat system for Forge and NeoForge, with four base elements, status effects and reactions that trigger when elements meet.
What it does
Weapons, armor and mobs gain elemental properties in the game, and combining elements produces status effects and environmental reactions. The four base elements are Fire, Nature, Thunder and Frost, linked through a full counter chain. Mobs are element-aligned and can pick up enchanted equipment and tactical potions, including spell-casters, while spawns in each biome favor one element over the others. Melee arcs, projectile trails and impact bursts scale with enhancement levels.
Twelve dedicated enchantments, three per element for weapons and armor, can be obtained through enchanting tables, villager trades, loot chests and commands. Six new status effects, including Wetness, Flammable, Spores, Static Shock, Paralysis, Frostbite and Freeze, are triggered by the reactions, and more than thirty reactions cover steam clouds, spore detonation and blood-triggered counters. An admin command set with Tab completion is included, and the config files can be reloaded without restarting.
Jade is required, and the mod runs on the client and the server, so both sides need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.2 and 26.3. The code is open source under the MIT License.
