EconomyCraft

by ReaZip

EconomyCraft lets server owners set up a shop economy, with categories, buy and sell prices and dynamic pricing, all edited from in-game screens.

What it does

A server running EconomyCraft gains a shop system where items are grouped into categories. An admin opens a category editor to rename a category, recolor it, pick its icon, hide it, or leave it out of dynamic pricing. Removing a category sends its items to a miscellaneous group and resets their buy prices to zero. New items are added by picking them from the game or from a player's inventory. Enchanted gear, named tools and filled containers keep their contents, and a label suffix tells apart duplicates of the same item, such as two shulker boxes with different loot tables.

Each item carries a buy price and a sell price for one unit, where a value of 0 disables that direction. Dynamic pricing scales the buy price with a multiplier that changes as items are bought and sold, clamped between a configured minimum and maximum and recalculated at most once an hour. It is off by default and can be enabled server-wide, while any single item can be opted out. Shift-clicking buys or sells a bulk amount set per item.

The mod is server-side economy software for Fabric and NeoForge, and it requires Architectury API on both loaders. The server carries the whole economy, so players join without installing anything. Players reach the shop through a screen opened by command, where they browse categories, click an item and buy, sell or edit it. Commands cover balance, paying other players, daily rewards, the shop, the auction house, worth lookups, orders, deliveries and a transaction history. The code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the source and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Category editor

Categories can be renamed, recolored, given an icon, hidden or excluded from dynamic pricing through a right-click menu.

  2. Buy and sell prices

Each item has its own buy and sell price per unit, and a price of 0 turns off that direction of trade.

  3. Dynamic pricing

Buy prices follow a multiplier that responds to trade volume, clamped between configured limits and updated at most once an hour.

  4. Bulk trading

Shift-clicking buys or sells a set amount per item, configured for each entry.

  5. NBT-aware items

Enchanted gear, named tools and filled containers keep their data, and label suffixes separate duplicates.
