Dogium
by ChairMan_
Dogium, a Forge food mod, lets players eat pets, villagers and even stone, with cooked meats, a blood bucket and a vegan block among its additions.
What it does
Edible cats and dogs are added to the game, along with cooked and raw meat from both. Cats are found on plains variants and drop leather when sheared, while a knife gives cat meat. A brewing stand turns edible animals into blood buckets by taking the place of empty bottles. Dogs follow the same pattern, with a spinning tail producing dog meat instead. Villagers can be eaten too, and a villager item is obtained when one is killed; it is used to craft a cannibals totem.
Stone is also edible: a rock mob spawns in bigger caves such as lush caves and dripstone caves, and fights back when attacked. The Overpowered Knife deals 1000 damage and is obtainable in survival, while a vegan block turns nearby villagers vegan and a vegan stew is obtained by trading with vegan villagers. Smelting leaves yields cooked leaves, which give a veganism effect. The mod runs on Forge for 1.20.1 with one other build for 1.19.2, and it must be installed on both the server and the client, as the environment is client and server.
The license is CC0 1.0 Universal, so the work is placed in the public domain; the mod is not open source in the sense of publishing its code under an open license. The latest Forge file, 1.4.0 for 1.20.1, was released on 2025-08-09.
