EasyStep
by KingKurbit
Players who walk over uneven ground can use EasyStep, a Fabric mod that raises the step height so full blocks are climbed without a jump.
What it does
EasyStep lets a player walk directly up full blocks and across uneven natural terrain without repeated jumping. The step height is raised, while vanilla step height can be restored at any time. A toggle in the Options menu under Controls, Misc, EasyStep Toggle switches the feature on or off, and a chat message confirms the state after each change.
The mod is published for Fabric only, with a single game version: the latest file targets 1.21.11 and the code is under the MIT License, so it is open source. It is marked as client and server, so the server and every player need it, and each player controls the toggle state separately while the server keeps the two sides in sync.
Key features
Walk up full blocks
A player walks onto a full block directly instead of jumping, which reduces repeated jumping while exploring.
Live toggle
The Options menu switch takes effect immediately, without reloading the world, and a chat message shows the current state.
Synchronized state
Each player sets the toggle independently, and the server keeps both sides aligned so the two never fall out of step.
Minimal design
The mod does one thing, changing the step height, and adds no extra mechanics or overhead.

Use cases
Sprinting over terrain
Hills and rough ground can be crossed at speed without stopping to jump at every block edge.
Navigating builds
Walking through structures and stepped builds is more comfortable when each full block no longer needs a jump.
Who it’s for: Players who explore rough terrain or move through builds often, and server owners who want smoother traversal without adding new mechanics.
How it compares
Mobility Modifications works on Fabric for 1.21 – 1.21.11 and runs on client and server, but it is not open source and is released as All rights reserved. Hold To Walk is client-side only, open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and built for 1.21.11, so servers need nothing installed. mcsow is server-required with client optional, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and also targets 1.21.11. EasyStep covers the same single-version Fabric build as Hold To Walk and mcsow, but it is the only one here that needs both sides.
