EasyLAN
by XiaoXianHW
Players who want to host a world for friends on their own network can open it with EasyLAN, a client-side GUI mod that sets port, player limit and other server options before the world opens.
What it does
EasyLAN opens a single-player world to other devices on the local network. Before opening, the player can set a custom port between 100 and 65535, a maximum player count from 2 up to 500000, and a message of the day up to 100 words. Each option is shown in a graphical screen rather than typed as a command.
The mod also offers switches for player-versus-player combat, online mode, and whether animals and non-player characters spawn. Settings can additionally be edited in the file easylan.cfg inside the .minecraft config folder, which works in a similar way to server.properties on a dedicated server. EasyLAN requires Fabric API on Fabric. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, so the code is open source.
Builds cover 1.7.2 – 1.21.11 across Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with 23 release versions in total. The latest file, v1.6a for 1.21.11, is marked alpha and was published on 2026-05-19.
