Easy Name Tag Crafting lets players craft name tags with a simpler recipe than vanilla, for Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

The mod adds a crafting route for name tags, so players who want to name a mob can make the item without the vanilla recipe. It runs on client and server, so both sides need it and every player on a server that runs it needs it too. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.8 on Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.4 and 1.21.8, under the MIT License. The code is not open source.

  1. Simpler name tag recipe

    Name tags can be crafted through a recipe added by the mod, replacing the need to gather the vanilla ingredients.

    A crafted name tag is used on a mob in the usual way to give it a custom name.
