EasierVillagerTradingReloaded
by destro174
EasierVillagerTradingReloaded changes how trades are executed in the villager trading screen, so one click can repeat a trade instead of running it once.
What it does
Clicking a trade in the trading screen normally executes it once. With EasierVillagerTradingReloaded, holding Shift while clicking repeats the trade until either the villager locks it or the trading materials run out, and Ctrl-clicking prepares a trade without executing it. These bindings replace the default selection behaviour, so players reach the same results with fewer clicks when a villager has many trades to run.
The mod is a continuation of the earlier EasierVillagerTrading project. Versions published before Minecraft's trading interface was reworked shipped their own trading GUI with quick trade options, and the later interface removed that. The mod brings the faster workflow back for the current screen. It is a Fabric mod, and only the client needs it, so servers and other players do not have to install it. Files are published for 1.21.8, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 and 26.2, with 26.2-build-4 as the latest file, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
The mod generally works well on servers, but a server running an AntiCheat plugin may block the repeated trade inputs, so server owners should test it before relying on it. The author also states that the mod does not slow the game down, and that performance was checked with the JProfiler profiler.
Key features
Repeat trades with Shift-click
Holding Shift while clicking a trade repeats it until the villager locks the trade or the materials run out.
Prepare trades with Ctrl-click
Ctrl-clicking a trade selects it for preparation without executing it, leaving the selection for the next click.
Default selection kept
Plain clicks still behave as they do in vanilla, so the modified bindings are only used when the modifier keys are held.
Trading screen only
The changes apply to the villager trading screen and do not alter villager trade lists or other interfaces.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
How it compares
VillagerTradeStats is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 – 26.2 that is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, which covers a wider range of versions than this mod. Quick Trade is also a Fabric client-side mod under the MIT License, but it is not open source and targets only 1.21.11. Infinite Trading is a server-side Fabric and NeoForge mod under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, so it needs installing on the server rather than on the client.
