Earthify
by skirazavr
Earthify, a NeoForge world generation mod, adds new plants, crops, potted flowers and creatures that stay close to the vanilla style of the game.
What it does
The mod places fresh kinds of plant life across the surface of the world, among them decorative flowers and functional crops. Some of the plants can be placed in flower pots as an extra decoration. The goal is to add variety without departing from how vanilla Minecraft looks and behaves.
Alongside the plants, the mod adds new creatures that the author designed for the world, since Mojang did not add them to the main game. The new mobs are meant to fit the existing ecosystem, and together with the vegetation they are intended to make exploration more varied and immersive.
Earthify runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for NeoForge only, across five release versions 26.1 – 26.3, and the latest file, 1.2.1, targets 26.3. The code is covered by a custom license and is not open source.
Key features
New vegetation
Plants and flowers are added to the surface of the world, including functional crops next to purely decorative flowers.
Potted plants
Some of the new plants have potted variants, so they can be placed indoors as additional decoration.
Unique creatures
New mobs that did not exist in the main game populate the world and fit its natural ecosystem.
Vanilla-friendly design
The additions keep the look and pacing of vanilla Minecraft rather than changing the core gameplay.

Use cases
Exploration
Players travelling through new biomes find plants and creatures they have not seen in the base game.
Building and decoration
Potted flowers and decorative plants give builders more options for interiors and gardens.
Who it’s for: Players who want a more varied natural world without large changes to the game, and server owners who run vanilla-style worlds for their players.
How it compares
Flora Expansion is another NeoForge option for new vegetation, released under the MIT License, with files for 1.21.1 – 26.2. Grassidium is server-side only, so players can join without installing anything, and it is published under All rights reserved for 1.21.1 – 26.3. Earthify needs both sides, while Virentia is client-side only and released under the MIT License.
