Dyed

by yurisuika

Dyed lets leather horse armor take dye only in the places where the mod allows dyeing, as set out by its author.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.16 – 1.21.10

What it does

Leather horse armor can be colored with dye when Dyed is installed. The mod limits that dyeing to the spots the author intends, so the armor does not take color anywhere else. Fabric API is required on Fabric and is named as the dependency for the mod. Dyed is client-side only, so only the client needs it, and it is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, which makes it open source. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 34 release versions, 1.16 – 1.21.10, with snapshot builds published.

Key features

  1. Dyeing horse armor

Leather horse armor takes dye, so players can change its color with the items they already carry.

  2. Restricted dyeing spots

Color is applied only where the author intends it, which keeps other armor and items unchanged.

  3. Fabric API dependency

The mod relies on Fabric API for its hooks, so that library must be present alongside it.

What the author says

Dye leather horse armor only where it is meant to be dyed! Please note that this bug has finally been fixed in Minecraft 1.21.11, so while Dyed will still work, it is now unnecessary! It will no longer be marked as compatible starting with 1.21.11.
