DupeTrigger

by AstraLucid

Holding a stack in hand, a player can press a keybind to double it with DupeTrigger, a Fabric mod that lets the count pass 64.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.4 – 26.3

What it does

DupeTrigger adds a keybind that doubles the stack the player is holding. Each press doubles the stack count, and the count is not capped at 64, so a stack keeps doubling well past the normal limit. The count tops out at the integer limit of 2,147,483,647, so the largest possible stack is just under 2 billion. Once a stack passes 1,000, the count label is shortened so it stays readable, and the text scales to fit inside the slot, so a value such as 999M still fits.

The mod is built for the Cheats setting, which must be enabled before players can duplicate items in a world. It is a Fabric mod for versions 1.21.4 – 26.3, with six release versions in total, and it is published with its source code and issue tracker. The environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and the code is under the All rights reserved license, which means the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Keybind duplication

A keybind doubles the stack in the player's hand, one press at a time.

  2. Counts beyond 64

Stacks are not capped at 64 and keep doubling up to the integer limit of 2,147,483,647.

  3. Shortened large numbers

Once a stack passes 1,000, the count label is abbreviated so it stays readable at a glance.

  4. Auto-scaling count text

The label scales down as its digits grow, so values such as 999M stay within the slot.

Use cases

Creative and testing worlds

Players testing builds or redstone circuits can produce large stacks of items quickly, provided Cheats are enabled.

Who it’s for: Players who run worlds with Cheats enabled and want to test with large item counts, and server owners who allow duplication on their own servers.

Questions

Does DupeTrigger need Cheats enabled?

Must the mod be installed on the server too?

Which Minecraft versions does DupeTrigger support?

Its game versions run 1.21.4 – 26.3, and the latest Fabric file, 1.0.4, targets 26.3.
