Dorsal Moon
by karm
With Dorsal Moon installed, the ocean gains new night events that bring dolphins, half-drowned and glow squid to the water.
What it does
Dorsal Moon adds an event to the night sky that welcomes double dolphins and half-drowned, granting the player infinite water breathing while it lasts. During the Super Dorsal Moon, glow squid spawn in greater numbers and the player gains increased swimming speed through the Dolphin's Grace status effect. It requires Enhanced Celestials, an add-on that gives the Moon its ocean and night effects. Both sides need the mod, and it is published for Forge across 1.19.2 – 1.20.1 with a single 1.0 file for 1.20.1. The code is under All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
Key features
Dorsal Moon event
During this event, double dolphins and half-drowned appear in the water and the player breathes underwater without limit.
Super Dorsal Moon
A stronger form of the event doubles glow squid spawns and grants the Dolphin's Grace effect for faster swimming.
Ocean treasure hunting
The night events give players a reason to explore the ocean and search it for treasure.
