Don't Hide My Items

by TorNato

Don't Hide My Items changes how the vanilla bundle interface looks and behaves on Fabric, without altering what a bundle stores.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.2 – 26.3

What it does

The mod reworks the bundle screen. The bundle contents are drawn with less spacing between items, the item grid is always visible instead of appearing only on hover, and the panel opens at the top left next to other containers rather than in the bottom right corner where the vanilla screen puts it. A numeric readout shows how full the bundle is, and the grid is widened from the vanilla layout to eight columns, which fits without extra padding.

Holding Shift while scrolling moves through a bundle one whole row at a time, so long contents can be reached quickly, and a jump to the start or end is included. The mod runs on the client alone, so servers and other players do not need it, and it does not change the bundle recipe or the data a bundle holds.

Released under the MIT License, the source code is public, and issues can be reported through the public tracker. Files are published for Fabric only, for 15 release versions 1.21.2 – 26.3, with 1.1.0 for 26.3 as the latest file dated 2026-09-05.

Key features

  1. Always-visible contents

The bundle grid stays on screen, so the items inside can be read without hovering over the bundle.

  2. Tighter item spacing

Extra padding between the stacked items is removed, so more of each bundle fits on the screen.

  3. Fill percentage readout

A number beside the fullness bar shows how much of the bundle is used.

  4. Row scrolling with Shift

Holding Shift while scrolling moves a full row at a time, with a fast jump to the start or end of the contents.

Use cases

Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who use bundles often and want the bundle screen laid out differently from vanilla. Single-player and multiplayer clients both run it alone, so no server setup is needed.

How it compares

Full comparison

Bundle Loading Barrel is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, runs on client and server, and is published for 1.21.4 – 1.21.5. Tool Bundles is open source under the Apache License 2.0, runs on client and server, and covers 1.21.1 – 26.1.2. Redstone Ready Bundles is open source under the MIT License and server-side only, so it works without any client install, but only for 1.21.10. Don't Hide My Items instead changes the bundle screen itself and is client-only, for 1.21.2 – 26.3.

Questions

Does Don't Hide My Items need to be on the server?

No. Only the player's game needs it, and servers run without it.

Does Don't Hide My Items need Fabric API?

No required dependency is listed for Fabric.

Will it conflict with other mods that change bundles?

Other mods that modify bundle rendering are likely to conflict with it, so players should test them together before relying on both.

What the author says

This is a simple, client-side mod that fixes the bundle UI in many ways: 1. Removes all the weird padding between items 2. Makes all the items in the bundle show, always 3. Makes the bundle fill from the top left like... every other container (instead of the bottom right in vanilla) 4. Adds a number showing how full…
