Doggy Talents Continuation gives tamed wolves a leveling system, 19 unique talents and a revival mechanic, all for Minecraft 1.7.10 on Forge.
What it does
Tamed wolves gain experience, level up and learn talents such as fetch and special abilities. A training treat and the doggy charm item let players teach and adjust these in creative mode, and the default stick opens the dog interface. Dogs can be dyed collars and fancier collars, and they can be cared for with beds, food bowls and baths.
Dogs that reach zero health do not die. They enter an incapacitated state, ignore most interactions, and are revived by feeding them cake once their health is restored. Maximum health reaches 120 points, and talents such as Happy Eater widen the foods they accept, including fish and rotten flesh. Radio collars and radar help players track dogs. The mod is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker. It requires Forge and runs on client and server, so both the server and players need it. Files are available for 1.7.10 only, and the latest file is 1.14.2.325, published on 2023-08-28.
