What it does

The mod is a client-side pack of dog models and textures that works with Doggy Talents Next. Models and textures were made by Mrblueyeti, with model conversion coded by DashieDev and MashXP XP. After installation, tamed Doggy Talents Next wolves can take on the special dog breeds supplied by the Better Dogs resource pack.

Converting a tamed Doggy Talents Next wolf takes a training treat, and a right-click on the wolf with a stick applies the change. Doggy Talents Next must be installed on the server, and the Better Dogs resource pack must be present for the new breeds to show. The old Doggy Talents mod is not compatible, so only Doggy Talents Next works here. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across three release versions, 1.20 – 1.21, with credits given to the Doggy Talents Next development team for the collaboration.
